How standing guards and patrol coverage work on active construction sites, and what information you need to get a quote.
Why construction sites need security
Construction sites are frequent targets for theft. Tools, equipment, and materials are valuable, portable, and often left on site overnight. A single theft incident can delay a project by days and cost thousands of dollars.
Security coverage—whether standing guards, hourly patrol, or a combination—deters theft and vandalism, documents incidents, and keeps your project on schedule.
Standing guard vs. patrol
Standing guards stay on site for the duration of their shift, providing continuous presence. This is the strongest deterrent but also the most expensive option.
Patrol involves a marked vehicle driving through the site on a scheduled or randomized basis. It is more cost-effective and works well for sites where continuous presence is not necessary.
Many projects use a combination: patrol for most nights, with a standing guard during particularly vulnerable periods.
What to have ready for a quote
To give you an accurate recommendation, we need the site address and size, the type of equipment and materials on site, the hours requiring coverage, whether you prefer standing guard or patrol, and the expected duration of the project.
